looking thru the feb 2010 watchtower i noticed that the society has done a little white wash of the past by not mentioning the book 'millions now living will never die' only mentioning the earlier talk using the word 'may'.. perhaps because rutherford stated " i want the statement millions now living will never die to be taken literally, as it is, in the light of fullfilled prophecy, a provable biblical proposition" they dont want the r&f to know of the book nor its grandiose pronouncment.. 8 .
the anointed followers of christ havebeen extending the invitation since as far.

I am finding it amazing that even though they pick through the bones of Russell and Rutherfords works to suit todays message, even editing the works, that they do not want the R&F to actually read these books!
On one hand they present an 'oh so proud of our rich heritage from these men of faith' then twist and distance themselves from their works!
F*&$#%G pharasees. White washed graves full of dead mens bones.

The anointed followers of Christ have
been extending the invitation since as far
back as 1918. In that year, the public talk
entitled “Millions Now Living May Never
Die” offered hope thatmany will gain life in
a paradise earth after the battle of Armageddon.
A talk given at the convention of Bible
Students at Cedar Point, Ohio, U.S.A., in
1922 urged listeners to ‘advertise the King
and his kingdom.’ This appeal helped the
remnant of the bride class to reach more
people with the invitation. In 1929, the

i am about to go into mediation with the ex to negotiate new child access arangements.
i was wondering about being able to negotiate this.
i may also end up going to court so it would be good to know if this ever been done.
I,m not looking to take on the legal system or ban baptism of minors in society. Infant baptism is largely irrelivent these days, almost a quaint tradition.
But my ex will use any trick she can to keep the kids away. At 16 and 13 i believe they are at risk of getting baptized. That means all the shunning that goes with it. Perfect to suit her plan.
I just want to prevent this as long as i can
@Blondie, the reference to 'print'. Do you have it? i have the watchtower lib 08, i'll see if i can find it in search. Thankyou
@latinExjw, let me know how you go!
i have mediation in 3 weeks.

since i'm in a complaining mood, i'll just throw one more in there.. one of the brothers praying at my circuit assembly said, "jehovah may your holy spirit continue to operate on the faithful and discreet slave.".
i thought, what a stupid thing to pray for.
if these guys are already ordained by god, why would we have to pray to god to ask him to continue supplying them with holy spirit, by their standard these guys should never lose it.. alright, that's it for today.. .
Just another subliminal implanting of the GB in the Jw subconscious. Link jehovah, holy spirit and Governing body all in one tight neat little sentance

@Bohm
unfortunatley every single post, member, thread etc vanished. I wish i had saved the pages of comments.
I remember as proof of the statemant that {quote}'if we marry an unbeliver, we actually make them a target of extra focus from satan and the demons', the following:
adam and eve; job and his wife; Peter and jesus; Esau and his wives; King solomon and the pagan wives.
Needless to say, none of them have anything to do with Extra satanic attention, hell some are not even uneven yoking, and peter and jesus, when did they get married?
the 1914 wt references just had one fellow getting real upset about my being critical.

I will see if i can remember the debates better... but it did send them to the books

South aust Lillith.
I only thought of it today. It could be based on the fact that a parent is not allowed to breach contact orders by preventing or witholding children having access to the other parent. . As a baptised minor, they would be prevented from having anything but the most basic contact by the religions commands, therefore it could be posible that the religion may be seen as doing the actual preventing of a minor childs rights to visit the non custodial parent ...me.
i dont think it would be too hard to convince a mediator or judge of the wrongness of shunning being enforced on minor children.
Any research would be great, i must touch base with my lawyer on this too.
cheers
